Owen made his entry into the entertainment industry at the young age of 7 when he formed the group, ‘The Dynamic’ which was however not successful.
He later partnered with some friends to form another rap group, ‘Your Uncles from the Psychiatrist Hospital’, but the group was also not commercially successful, the failure of which pushed Owen into comedy.
Owen Gee later went into comedy skits in 2001 and he professionally began at MBI’s Circle of Stars.

Recently, Owen Gee opened up to his fans how he contemplated suicide in 2017 after he sunk into depression.
He narrated the experience in Lagos during the unveiling of Live and not Die (LAND), an initiative aimed at stemming the tide of suicide in the country.
He further revealed that things were not actually going the right way not because they were bad ideas but that the people he was working with did not allow it work.
He then advised people to be patient in life and build their trust in God, the author and finisher of our faith.
