Early Life and Education
May D grew up in Lagos State, where he attended Kings College in Lagos for his secondary education. He later proceeded to the University of Lagos, where he studied Mass Communication.
Career
May D started his music career in 2011 when he was signed to the now-defunct Square Records owned by the P-Square brothers. He released his first single, “Soundtrack,” in 2011, which became an instant hit and gained him recognition in the Nigerian music industry.
In 2012, May D left Square Records and ventured into music on his own. He released two singles that year titled “Ile Ijo” and “Gat Me High.” Both songs were hits and topped several music charts across Nigeria.
