Early Life and Career
Manasseh Daniel Jatau was born in the early 60s in Taraba State, Nigeria. He grew up in a middle-class family and was raised with a strong sense of community service and social justice. After obtaining his primary and secondary education in Taraba State, he proceeded to the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Economics.
After his graduation, he worked briefly in the private sector before joining the civil service. He rose through the ranks to become a Director in the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. He then left the service to become an entrepreneur, setting up a successful agricultural consulting firm.
Political Career
Manasseh Daniel Jatau’s political career began when he joined the People’s Democratic Party (PDP). He contested in the 2015 general elections as the PDP candidate for Jalingo/Yorro/Zing Federal Constituency and was elected to the House of Representatives.
In the House of Representatives, he became known for his passionate advocacy for the development of his constituency and the empowerment of his constituents. He was also an active member of several committees, including the Committee on Agricultural Production and Services, the Committee on Aviation, and the Committee on Environment.
In the 2019 general elections, he was re-elected to the House of Representatives for a second term. He continued his advocacy and representation of his constituents.
