Rahama Sadau Career In Kannywood And Aspirations
Even though she is quite young, Rahama Sadau has already managed to gain quite a bit of fame over the past few years. She starred in numerous Kannywood and Nollywood movies, including Rariya, Rumana, Sons of the Caliphate and many others.
During her short career, Sadau has won quite a few awards. When asked about the people who inspire her, Rahama often names Genevieve Nnaji and Tiwa Sawage. The actress is also very fascinated with Bollywood, especially with Priyanka Chopra.
Rahama Sadau admitted that she managed to learn Hindi just by watching lots of Bollywood movies. Many of her fans and friends that know about Rahama’s obsession with Indian movies call her Priyanka.
In addition to being an actress, Rahama is also a producer. She has her own production company called Sadau Pictures, which she has used to fund and produce several films, including Rariry and her upcoming film Dan Iya.
Rahama Sadau is one of those people who do not let their fame go to waste. In 2016, she launched her own charity by the name of Ray of Hope. Through it, she is hoping to help women and young girls achieve their potential
Before that, she participated in various charity events, including Cancer day Walk in 2015.
As of now, the actress seems to be single, but she is only 24, so she has her whole life ahead of her.
She also mentioned that she was afraid of mixing her private life with her career. Rahama Sadau is afraid of the possible jealousy of her potential partners due to the fact that she might have some on-screen romance.
Rahama Sadau And MOPPAN
Perhaps one of the things that made Rahama so famous is her conflict with the Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria, otherwise known as MOPPAN.
The issues began in 2015, when the actress was still early in her career. Back then, she had a loud argument with Adam Adam Zango, a well-known actor and producer, which resulted in her six-month suspension.
According to the actress, Adam Zango harassed her and pressured her into being intimate with him.
However, Rahama Sadau has since come out and apologised for her explosive reaction that led to her suspension. She claims that it is all in the past now, and that she and Adam are now good friends.
Another scandal around Rahama and MOPPAN happened by the end of 2016. She starred in a music video with the rapper ClassiQ, where the two were seen hugging and smiling at each other.
MOPPAN deemed the video inappropriate and expelled Rahama from the industry altogether. You can find the music video at the end of the article and see for yourself what has gotten Sadau expelled.
A year later, Rahama delivered her letter of apology to MOPPAN, where she apologised for her inappropriate behaviour.
However, the Association is torn whether to grant her pardon or not, as the actress has been violating her expulsion by starring in several movies since 2016 and allegedly badmouthing MOPPAN. We will have to wait and see what comes out of it.
That is all for our Rahama Sadau profile. As she is still quite young, there is not all that much to say about her life, but we believe that she has a bright future ahead of her. We hope she resolves her issues with MOPPAN and continues to star in Kannywood movies.
