Cassper Nyovest is a South African rapper, songwriter, and record producer. Born Refiloe Maele Phoolo on December 16, 1990, in Mahikeng, North West province, South Africa, Cassper Nyovest started his career in music in 2004 as a member of a group called Childhood Gangsters (CHG). With the group, they released a demo tape but disbanded shortly after, leading Cassper Nyovest to pursue a solo career.
