Early Life and Education
Lara George grew up in a Christian home and started singing in the choir at a young age. She attended Queen’s College, Lagos for her secondary education and later studied Architecture at the University of Lagos.
Career
Lara George’s music career started in 1997 when she joined the group “Kush” with TY Bello and Emem Ema. The group became popular for their unique sound, which blended hip hop, R&B, and African rhythms. They released two albums before going their separate ways in 2006.
After leaving the group, Lara George launched a solo career and released her debut album, “Forever in my heart” in 2007, which included the hit single “Ijoba Orun”. She has since released several other albums, including “Lara George” in 2008, “Higher” in 2012, and “A Slice of Heaven” in 2017.
