Here are the list of Top Nupe Villages and Towns in Nupe land, The Nupe people are called different names by various tribes in Nigeria . The Yoruba refer to them as Takpa , the Hausas call them Nufawa (Plural) or Banufe (Singular). The Gbagyi ( Gwari / Gbari ) refer to them as Anupeyi.
The Nupe peoplerefer to themselves as Nupenchizhi(Plural) and Nupenchi (Singular).
The Nupe comprises other related ethnic groups or sub-tribes namely; Dibo, Abawa , Gana-Gana , Kakanda , Bassa nge / Nupe Tako , Kupa .
The Nupe people in Niger River Area’s are call Kyede or Batachi , they are specialized in fishing ( e.g River Niger Base ) while the Nupes in Jungle area’s are refer to as Latichi , most of these Nupe people focus on farming and rearing of animal .
Some Nupe houses in villages are builded up with red m blocks made up from loamy soil which they call Emi Egun or Emi Lankpa in Nupe language

The Nupe’s of river area’s mostly focus on fishing and cultivation of rice while the Nupe people of savanna and jungle area’s focus on farming, hunting and rearing of animals e.g cattles, sheep, goat, pigs and other relate animals, the Nupe people who are near rivers usullay face problem on their farms and house’s in raining season, some of their plants and their houses flosh away in result of death cause by heavy rains, they also face problems of transportation through rivers port.
Nupe people are ranked up on 4th most Educated tribe in Nigeria and also one of the most strong hardworking tribe in Nigeria that concentrate on farming of Rice, Yam, Beans, Maize, Cassava, Corn, Milet, Guinea corn, Melon, Suya beans, Water melon, Sweet potato, Bambara nuts, Ground nuts and other crops.
