Samsong, whose real name is Samson Uche Mogekwu, is a Nigerian musician, songwriter and performer. He was born on November 30, 1974, in Delta State, Nigeria.
Early Life
Samsong was raised in a Christian home and started singing and playing the guitar at a very young age. He grew up in a religious environment and was heavily influenced by gospel music.

Samsong attended the University of Lagos where he studied Accounting.
Career
Samsong started his career in 1991 as a member of the group Praise Creation. He later became a member of the popular Nigerian gospel group, Midnight Crew. He rose to fame with the release of his hit song, “Bianule” in 2003.
He has released several albums including “Count Your Blessings” (2005), “The Worship Experience” (2007), “My Sound of Worship” (2009), “On Top of the World” (2014), and “By the Holy Ghost” (2016).
Samsong’s music is a blend of gospel, highlife, reggae, and hip hop. He is known for his powerful vocals, and meaningful lyrics. He has won several awards including Best Video at the Nigerian Music Video Awards (NMVA) in 2015.
