Alabi was brought up in a Christian home by her parents, Pa Joseph Akinyele Obayomi and Madam Agnes Kehinde Obayomi. As a child, she attended the Methodist Primary School, Oke-Iyanla, Ibadan and then proceeded to the Methodist Girls High School, Yaba for her secondary education. She later obtained her National Diploma from the Polytechnic, Ibadan.
Career
Tope Alabi started her music career as a member of the Jesters International comedy group. She later joined the group of the late Evangelist Ebenezer Obey as a back-up vocalist. Alabi made her debut album, “Ore ti o common” in 2001 and has since released many other albums and gospel songs, including “Agbara Re Ni”, “Angeli Mi”, “Iwe Eri”, “Oba Aseda”, “Olorun Nbe Funmi”, “Mori’Yanu”, “Kape Laye”, and many more.
