Tyga Biography
American rapper Tyga, born Michael Ray Nguyen-Stevenson on November 19, 1989, is from the United States. In 2008, Tyga inked a recording deal with Young Money Entertainment, Cash Money Records, and Republic Records following a string of independent releases. The popular singles “Rack City,” “Faded” (with Lil Wayne), “Far Away” (featuring Chris Richardson), “Still Got It” (featuring Drake),
And “Make It Nasty” were all featured on his major label debut, Careless World: Rise of the Last King, which was released in 2011. After the album’s popularity, two albums were released in partnership with singer Chris Brown: Hotel California (2013) and Fan of a Fan: The Album (2015).
Tyga’s subsequent album, The Gold Album: 18th Dynasty, was independently released on June 23, 2015, as a result of differences with Young Money.
With 5,000 album equivalent units sold in its first week, the record, which Kanye West served as executive producer on, became his lowest-grossing release to that point.
His May 2018 single, “Taste” (featuring Offset), peaked at number 8 on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming his first Top 40 single since “Ayo” with Chris Brown in 2015.
This followed a period of subpar sales and a mixed response to earlier music. The song would ultimately be released in 2019 as the lead single from his seventh album, Legendary.
Tyga Early Life
Dwayne Michael Carter Jr. was born on September 27, 1982, and lived his early years in Uptown New Orleans, Louisiana’s 17th Ward’s underprivileged Hollygrove area. At the age of 19, his chef mother gave birth to him.
When he was two years old, his parents got divorced, and his father abandoned the family for good. Carter stated to CBS interviewer Katie Couric why he chose the name Wayne rather than his given name “I dropped the D because I’m a junior, my father is alive, and he has never been or is now not a part of my life. I would rather be Wayne than Dwayne, for that reason “.
Carter responded, “He knows now,” when asked if his father was aware of this. Carter has declared that Reginald “Rabbit” McDonald, his deceased stepfather, is his real father. Carter honours McDonald with a tattoo.
Carter had a chest gunshot wound from a self-inflicted gunshot in 1994 when he was only 12 years old. He said the injury was unintentional at the time. After being warned by his mother that he would have to stop his rap-related affiliations, Carter claimed decades later that it was an attempt at suicide.
Carter attributes his survival to Robert Hoobler, an off-duty police officer he refers to as “Uncle Bob,” who insisted the dying boy be taken to the hospital right away in a police car rather than waiting for an ambulance to arrive. According to some versions, multiple officers participated in choosing and carrying out that course of action.
Tyge Personal Life
On October 5, 2011, at Chris Brown’s F.A.M.E Tour After Party at King of Diamonds in Miami, Tyga got to know Blac Chyna. Tyga made Blac Chyna the star of the “Rack City” music video. On November 9, 2011, they were declared a couple, and in March 2012, they appeared on the cover of Urban Ink.
Their son was born on October 16, 2012, and Tyga bought a $6.5 million mansion in Calabasas, California, for his growing family. The names of their sons are tattooed on both parents. Blac Chyna announced her engagement to Tyga in December 2012. In 2014, the couple divorced.
Tyga has affirmed his connection with reality diva Kylie Jenner after months of rumours. However, because of their age difference and the fact that they had apparently been dating since Jenner was 16, their connection caused controversy in the tabloids.

Tyga was taken into custody by the authorities in October 2021 on suspicion of domestic abuse. A judge ordered Tyga to pay a $80,000 compensation to a previous landlord in June 2015; the landlord had let the rapper live in a house in Calabasas, California.
Following a May 2015 decision in which he was ordered to pay $90,000, however the debt was never paid, it was the second decision in the matter. Tyga was given a tax lien by the state of California in September 2015 for $19,000 in unpaid taxes. In 2016, he received a lawsuit for his birthday.
Tyga Rapping Career
Tyga started his career by putting out a tonne of mixtapes and demo tapes. Travie McCoy, the main singer for Gym Class Heroes and a fellow rapper from California, became interested in him after listening to his 2007 debut mixtape, Young On Probation.
McCoy granted the young musician a record deal with the independent label DCD2 Records after recognising his aptitude (known then as Decaydence Records).
Around that time, Tyga founded the record company G.E.D. Inc. (Grinding every day, Getting every dollar, or Getting educated everyday), the same imprint that helped fellow West Coast rapper Schoolboy Q, with whom he had previously collaborated, establish his career. Above his right brow, Tyga has a G.E.D. Inc tattoo.
Following the success of “Taste,” Tyga released a series of further songs in the latter part of 2018, first with “Swish,” which was given a gold certification, and then “Dip,” which featured Nicki Minaj and was given a platinum certification.
Additionally, he was a part of Iggy Azalea’s platinum-selling song “Kream.” Legendary, Tyga’s seventh album, was released in June 2019.
Tyga was featured in YG’s 2019 track “Go Loko,” which was released. He said, “Even YG could tell you, he grew up around all Mexicans, so we really wanted to do something to give back to the culture.” He said, “We wanted to do something unusual to kind of attempt to bring all Latins together.”
Tyga and businessman Robert Earl teamed up to launch Tyga Bites in July 2020. Tyga Bites uses the kitchens of already-existing restaurants to create branded menu items like boneless chicken wings for delivery service only.
Tyga participated as “Dalmatian” in The Masked Singer’s sixth season in 2021. He was the first member of Group B to go.
